Happy almost Week 0 and the start of the 23' - 24' Year! I have an exciting opportunity for students looking for a part-time or full-time job in the Santa Ana area. Bright View Optometry is looking to hire a fluent Spanish speaker for an optician position. The main requirement for the position is being able to speak to patients and translate in Spanish for Doctor Nhu Quynh Ly and also being able to work Fridays from 9 am to 6 pm.
The responsibilities of the position are pretesting, scheduling, helping patients buy glasses, using ophthalmic instruments, billing, and adjusting and dispensing glasses. They are willing to train and no prior knowledge is necessary.
Doctor Nhu Quynh Ly attended UCI and SCCO. She has over 35 years of experience in ophthalmology, pediatrics, and, now, family practice in private practice. An employee of hers named Kayla has reached out to our club to offer this job opportunity.
Kayla says from personal experience that the Doctor is really willing to help out college students and is very flexible if you need to take a few days off like to study for finals. The Doctor will answer any of your optometry questions and can potentially write a letter of rec. She says that many of her other coworkers are pre-optometry college students, too, and they find it manageable to balance both school and working at Bright View.
